7-26-19 North Dakota: Short Term Update Through Saturday Evening.V.

Good Friday afternoon!

A peek at radar shows that we are looking at some dry weather across the state with the only exception being some light activity in the extreme NE part of the state:

Below is simulated upper level energy from now until 7 PM CT Saturday evening. Tonight the overwhelming majority of the state looks to stay dry as we don’t have much energy overhead to aid in the formation of precipitation.  Our main focus comes tomorrow evening as we see some areas of upper level energy (darker shades of red) working into the very extreme portions of SW ND at the very end of this loop:

A look at simulated radar from 4 PM CT until 7 AM CT tomorrow. Our only precip chances look to stay in extreme NE ND and should not accumulate to much. This is certainly not any washout and will be very hit or miss, nothing widespread:

Highs tomorrow look to be in the upper 80s for the W half of the state and low to mid 80s for the E half of the state:

Modeled radar from 1 PM CT until 7 CT Saturday evening. Right now we do not see any precip reaching the state until the late evening hours, and this precip will come from the SW and work NE. As of now this rain Saturday evening does not look impressive by any means rainfall wise, but there is the potential for this to reach a little earlier than what is being shown:

Rainfall guidance out through 7 PM CT tomorrow evening. We think that by 7 PM CT tomorrow night, the overwhelming portion of ND stays dry with only a few places in the extreme NE and SW corners picking up some light accumulations. Sunday looks have more potential for rain and we will find tune those details tomorrow:
