Here is the observed rainfall guidance over the past 72 hours across the regions…primarily focused across South Dakota and the southern half of Minnesota where totals ranged from 1-2″ to as high as 3-4″+ in a few locations across western SD and eastern MN:

Rainfall potential over the next 3 days…very little to none is excepted…one of our quietest periods in recent memory as surface high pressure keeps things very dry.  Expect plentiful sun, pleasant temperatures, and low humidity levels.  

Wind forecast guidance into mid-week is below:

A surface front will work into the Dakotas Wednesday night offering up isolated storms.  This threat will work east into Thursday, but fairly isolated.  A stronger low pressure will work across the Canadian border Thursday night – diving southeast across Minnesota Friday morning.  The Thursday night-Friday time-frame sticks out as the best rain chance between now and Saturday evening.  Here is current data for rain totals Thursday night-Friday:
