Good Saturday morning! Here’s the latest 7-day forecast:
Additional scattered showers and storms may affect tonight’s game as an upper-level low over the Great Lakes region continues to sink south today. Early morning showers across northeast IL, northern IN, and northwest OH will drift southward with the low pressure system during the remainder of the morning bringing scattered shower and storm chances to the area after 1pm EDT today. Coverage will remain ~40% through the afternoon and evening in southwest OH, so this won’t be an all day rain but more intermittent rains. A very brief spin-up is possible in the area due to the high vorticity (or spin) in the atmosphere but is unlikely. Temperatures at first pitch this evening will be near 74ºF. The same story today will continue into tonight and tomorrow with scattered showers and storms impacting the area. Coverage will decrease overnight to only 15-20% but will pick back up Sunday afternoon to near 30-40% in southwest OH as we approach tomorrow afternoon’s first pitch. Temperatures at 1pm EDT Sunday will be near 75ºF. Widely scattered shower and storm chances continue into early next week as the upper-level low meanders just to the south of the area with a slight uptick in high temperatures into the mid 80s.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to reach out and have a great weekend!
