It was an active weekend with some areas seeing excessive rains. Local areas that saw 4″+….even 10″ reports out of parts of Iowa! Here is estimated rain in the past 48 hours:
Here is an idea of how storm activity will evolve as we go through the evening hours today. Focusing across parts of western Kansas to central Nebraska initially, then pushing east/southeast into tonight as they merge into a storm cluster.
Total rainfall through Tuesday morning…There is potential for a swath areas across portions of southern Nebraska and northern Kansas to receive 0.5″ to 1″, with local areas seeing higher.
Today’s severe storm outlook….I have circled the areas where the main storm chances will be over the next 24 hours, some wind and hail will be a threat. Flooding possible mainly in the spots that saw a lot of rain over the weekend.
