Today’s Video:
Good morning everyone! The cluster of storms from the northwest continues to dive off to the southeast but should remain in the northern half of the state and keep us mostly dry.
There is the potential for an area of showers or a rogue thunderstorm to develop in western Indiana and push eastward throughout the morning hours. Overall, I think chances are low – probably 20 – 30% shot at the most – otherwise you should be dry.
The best coverage will likely be just to the northwest:
Into tomorrow the main issue will be heat as a ridge of high pressure thwarting storm chances. Heat indices will get into the mid-100s with excessive heat warnings in effect today through Sunday. Heat indices will be in the mid-90s to mid-100s from the late morning hours through the evening Friday and Saturday.
Rain and storm threats continue to be likely as we work into Sunday afternoon as a front will begin to push southward through the area. If you have any tear-down on Sunday – the morning looks to have a decent amount of dry time while storm chances will increase as the afternoon goes on.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out! Have a great day.
