Today’s Video:
Latest 7 Day Outlook:
Good Tuesday morning everyone. Overall, we should see plenty of dry time throughout the first part of the day today and peaks of sun with increasing scattered storm risks as we push into the early afternoon. Especially as we work into 3-4 PM, I think the remnants of Hurricane Barry really ramp up across the area and we see a more widespread swath of rain and storms throughout the area into 6-7 PM – with coverage becoming a little more scattered after this. Here’s a look at the simulated radar into midnight tonight:
Precipitation potential today will likely be widespread 0.5 – 1.0″ but localized areas of 1-2+” are possible :
Into tonight we believe we can continue to see the risk of scattered showers and storms with hit or miss coverage throughout the day tomorrow as well.
The ridge of high pressure will expand into Thursday and lend to drier conditions, but heat will quickly become a concern with heat indices reaching into the mid-100s.
We are also keeping a very close eye on Sunday for a cold front. Timing has sped up quite a bit vs. yesterday’s model runs and there is still plenty of time for adjustments – but the pattern would fit a storm cluster risk in the PM hours.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out. Have a great day.
