Good Monday morning! A more active pattern returns this week compared to last week with multiple chances for storms over the next couple of days. We currently have an area of showers and storms located over southeastern KS slowly pushing ESE. Showers and storms, possibly severe, are expected to fire across western NE later today into this evening.

Storms develop tonight across northern/northwest Nebraska then dive south through the overnight:

Here’s a look at high temperatures over the next four days: Temperatures exceeding 90ºF will be common across portions of KS and MO through Thursday. Temperatures rise even further on Thursday with a couple 100ºF readings possible in western KS.

Low temperatures over the next four days: Warm overnight lows in the low to mid 70s will be common across KS and MO during this period.

Dew points over the next four days: The vast majority of the region will remain humid through Thursday with the far northern areas of IA catching drier air today behind the frontal boundary.
