Scattered storms develop along a boundary draped southwest to northeast across the region especially mid-afternoon through the evening.

As we go through later Saturday afternoon through the night, we watch areas across southeast Iowa, central & northern Missouri, west into eastern Kansas for scattered heavy storms. Forecast hourly radar from 1pm CDT Saturday to 7am CDT Sunday shown below.

While no model will be perfect, you can see the idea that there will be beneficial rains in areas that really need it (0.5″ to 1″) with local 2″ amounts. That said, I do think there are areas that can still miss out. This is a 60 hour rainfall forecast through Sunday 1pm CDT.
