Good afternoon! Here is your latest Midwest Extreme Video:
The remnants of tropical storm Barry look to progress into the Midwest early to mid next week with the potential for heavy rain and possible severe weather. The American and and European models suggest that Barry will mainly impact southern parts of the Midwest next week while the hurricane models suggest a more northerly track. We will have to keep our eyes on this for sure as the impacts can be greatly shifted. Following Barry, an upper level ridge begins to flex its muscles allowing for very hot and humid conditions to persist. Heat Index values approaching 100+ F will lead to absolutely miserable conditions for the later half of next week.
