7-11-19 Northern Plains: Targeting hit and miss rounds of storms into next week…details here. N.

Today’s video:

Observed rainfall over the past 24 hours is below:

Hour by hour rainfall analysis is posted in the video above, reach out to our on-call service if you need more local specific timing if you have weather condition-sensitive decisions to make (spraying, fertilizer, etc). Here’s our favored rainfall totals through the next day and a half…the rainfall coverage can be considered “splotchy”…a general 0.25-0.75” possible, localized 1″+ can’t be ruled out where a strong to severe storm may develop across parts of NW ND and MN, but many completely miss out as well. :

Current wind forecast guidance heading into the weekend:

Favored rainfall guidance over the next 7 days is below…the widespread nature of the 1.0-2.0″ across the northern half of MN may be a little overdone, but agree with the range of totals for locations up that way. Otherwise, a good hit or miss 0.25-0.75″ (localized 1″) will be possible across pretty much the rest of ND, SD and the southern half of MN:
