Next 2 days, highest rain risks will be focused south, with highest risks in far southwest Indiana and southern Illinois south of I-64. This is where we need to watch for a flash flood threat as any storms will be very slow-moving. Here is today’s excessive rain outlook:

Scattered storm/rain risks will lift north as we go through the weekend. It definitely looks scattered, but some localized heavy rain cannot be ruled out given slow movement of any storms with high moisture content in place. A cold front will sweep our rain chances east by Monday night, with much cooler/drier air invading the area by Tuesday. Our next front arrives late Wednesday into Thursday with our next rain chance.
