Good Morning!
A hot and muggy day is in store for you today before a cold front sweeps across the Trenton area this afternoon/ evening. Some of the storms associated with this cold front could be severe in nature with strong winds being the main area for concern.
High temperatures in the lower 90’s combined with dew points in the low to mid 70’s will combine for some very muggy conditions for you this afternoon. Heat Index values could approach 100 today and I would not be surprised if you were placed in a heat advisory later today. Below is a look at modeled Heat Index values at 2 PM today.
The heat and humidity will allow for some instability to grow in your area this afternoon before a cold front will sweep across the area. Because of this, storms along the cold front could be severe in nature with strong winds and possibly hail being the main concern. Right now I believe you could get some storms as early as 4 PM with the main bulk of storms arriving around game time. Here is a look at simulated radar from 7 AM through midnight (times on the top right). We will have to keep a close eye on radar for you this evening.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
