6-27-19 Missouri: Local heavy storms continue in SE Missouri….overall a drier/hot theme into mid next week. N.

Total rain over the past 24 hours: very impressive amounts due to stationary storm motion in southeast Missouri.

Total additional rainfall today: Watch for more heavy storms in the boot heel region, but they won’t extend as far north/west as yesterday.

Forecast radar from 11pm tonight to 1pm Friday shows continued storms lingering in southeast Missouri, with a cluster of storms diving from Iowa into portions of northern Missouri tomorrow morning, then fading out.  The outflow boundary left from this may spark an isolated storm Friday afternoon in central Missouri. 

Note that the overall forecast theme for us is dry over the next 5 days…..along with seasonally hot temperatures.  Check out the forecast rain through the middle of next week.  I do think some areas go 6 days without rain.
