6-27-19 Indiana: Mainly dry and hot forecast through the weekend…details here. N.

Video:

Observed rainfall over the past 24 hours: Slow moving storms in parts of Newton, Jasper, and Lake counties have led to flash flooding overnight.  Those storms have now fizzled out.

An isolated shower/storm is possible this morning, but a better chance for something to spark this afternoon, best chance in eastern and southeast Indiana.  This is about a 20% threat.  ***Most areas stay completely dry.***.  Forecast radar 3pm to 10pm ET shown below. Where one of these pop-up, they will be slow to move so can’t rule out heavy rain.

Forecast is trending dry overall for Friday and Saturday!!  With some storm clusters north and west of our area the next couple days, they may shoot out some outflow boundaries into northern Indiana which could focus at least an isolated storm threat.  Other-wise, be ready for sunshine, heat, and humidity.  Sunday, a backdoor front will bring an uptick in a widely scattered storm threat for northeast Indiana.  Many areas still dry Sunday as well.  Temperatures this weekend will range from the mid 80s to lower 90s.  Heat indices in the lower 90s Saturday, and mid 90s Sunday.  This is pretty much normal for this time of year though.  We gradually pick up a scattered storm threat each day next week.  Here is the rainfall forecast over the next week:
