6-26-19 Indiana: A few pop-up storms this evening…hot/drier pattern taking hold into early next week! N.

Video:

Forecast through the weekend is fairly straightforward.  Hot and humid with a few hit and miss storms…best chances across northern Indiana.  Most areas staying on the drier side.  Today, much of the day is dry.  Mainly after 4pm through 10pm expect a few storms to develop, mainly across north-central and west-central Indiana.  Isolated wind gusts and hail will be possible along with localized heavy rain.  Many stay dry, however.

Most storms fade away after 10pm, but there could still be a spotty storm/shower lingering tonight.

Total rainfall through Thursday AM:

Thursday is a mostly dry day with just a spotty storm threat.  Northern Indiana may get clipped with a storm cluster late Thursday night into Friday.  Friday will be a repeat of Thursday.  The weekend may bring a touch higher threat for widely scattered storms as a couple disturbances work in on the edge of a “heat ridge” aloft centered just west of the state.

Total rainfall through early next week is very hit/miss with a better coverage in northern Indiana.  Some areas central and south see little to no rain through the next 6 days.
