6-25-18 Central Plains PM Update: Unsettled weather continues the next couple of days…latest details here! I.

Afternoon video:

Synopsis: An upper level low will slowly push east across eastern NE tonight into IA through the day tomorrow, initiating a couple rounds of showers and storms across eastern NE into IA. Storms, some of which may be severe with hail, gusty winds, and isolated tornadoes, are set to fire along a warm front (~2-3pm CDT today) across eastern MO into IA and track east through the evening. Heading into tomorrow, a boundary will be draped across MO into eastern KS and help to provide lift and initiate showers and storms over the course of the day, especially the afternoon and evening.

Rainfall guidance through the next 60 hours depicts heavy rains through this evening across eastern NE into IA while shifting into eastern KS and MO tomorrow. Where those storms develop 1-2″ of rain may fall with locally higher amounts possible.
