Good Friday morning everyone! A much quieter radar this morning with a few scattered showers in the Western Dakotas. For the most part, the day will start off very quiet before some instability builds later this afternoon and evening allowing for scattered showers and storms to develop around a low pressure system working in from the west:

Overall, these won’t likely put down a lot of rain as they’ll be quick hitting with sun returning after they pass. Generally, these can put down a tenth of an inch or less, but a few isolated pockets of higher amounts are possible:

We’ll see a similar story tomorrow just slightly further east into more of the Dakotas as the low propagates slowly east:

More energy will work in overnight on Saturday and into Sunday and give better rain chances to Southwest and Southern South Dakota with scattered showers into North Dakota and Minnesota:
