6-20-18 IA/MO/NE PM Update: Heavy rain threat continues across portions of the region through the next couple of days. I.

Wrap-around convection continues across eastern NE and western IA while additional showers and storms are firing across the IA/MO border along the cold front. 2 hour radar loop as of 12:25pm CDT.

I expect storms to continue to ramp up over the next several hours across IA and western MO. A couple of these storms may be severe with hail, gusty winds, and heavy downpours. Overnight these storms push into the eastern portions of IA and MO. Convection associated with the low pressure system will continue through the overnight hours and impact eastern NE, MO, and IA into Thursday. Simulated radar through the next 48 hours:
