Dry air should win out today with much of the day featuring sun and highs warming well into the 70s. Clouds will begin taking over by the evening with a couple light showers not ruled out, but in general the dry air should keep us dry until after midnight. Here is a graphic highlighting the evolution of showers and storms Saturday. Just know confidence – especially from Saturday afternoon and night is lower with exact coverage and placement.
Sunday, the first half of the day will bring lower coverage with isolated to widely scattered showers. The afternoon and night Sunday will bring back numerous showers and storms, with a flash flood threat. Overall, the weekend is very wet. Expect storms in the area each day next week as well. Here is the total precipitation just through the weekend. As mentioned in the video, the far northern part of the state has some lower confidence in totals – it’s possible totals here can be a bit lower as best dynamics possibly set-up just south…it will be close.
Taking out to 7 days, totals of 2.50″ to 3.50″ widespread. Isolated higher.
