6-13-18 Central Plains Forecast: A few hit/miss storms through Thursday night….major heat builds in late week/weekend! N.

Forecast radar going from 8AM to 8PM CDT today:  I expect a few scattered storms today across portions of Nebraska and Kansas, and perhaps a spotty storm into Missouri.  Much of Iowa remains dry and nice during the day today before rain chances increase late tonight.  

Here are forecast radar time-stamps from today through Thursday morning.  We are expecting increasing rain/storm chances across Iowa mainly as we head into Thursday morning.  

Forecast radar from 10am EDT Thursday to 5am EDT Friday: Additional scattered storm risks across Iowa/Missouri, and additional energy may bring isolated storms into Nebraska late Thursday into Friday morning.

Very high heat indices are expected with the heat Friday through the weekend.  Sunday looks like the “hottest” day of this stretch.
