Much of the daylight hours are dry today…overall a very nice day again. This evening, isolated showers and storms will increase (especially after 8pm), with best coverage in Eastern Indiana where an isolated strong storm is possible, as well as far western areas. Highttp://youtu.be/QAAmss8B3cU?hd=1hest risk comes after midnight through about 10am Thursday for showers to swing through, most likely central and north.
By the afternoon Thursday, best rain risks shift to northeast Indiana, with most areas drying out with some sun returning. It will be very breezy and unseasonably cool. Highs in the northeast areas won’t get past the upper 50s, while the far southwest can still hit 70º with more sun. Here are the precipitation totals through Thursday afternoon:
Looking at winds – they stay fairly light today, but become very gusty at times Thursday.
Friday continues to look great. Sun, increasing southwest flow, and 70s. The video today breaks down our thoughts on the weekend. A warm front lifts in Saturday bringing a widely scattered storm threat (many hours of dry weather Saturday). A front will drop south Saturday evening/night allowing storm risks to ramp up with a cluster of storms possible. More scattered storms develop Sunday (especially in the afternoon) as a boundary lingers. Storm chances are there every day next week. Here are the updated 7-day precipitation numbers…this comes from a blend of several models. That is 2.00-3.50″!
