Updated severe threat. The colors you see overlayed in the background are the instability values. The higher the instability (where the trigger for storms is present (today it’s a cold front) the greater your risk of strong/severe storms.

Forecast rainfall over the next 24 hours….I think this may be overstating the coverage a bit, but many in the severe zone can pick up 0.5″ to 1″. As always, locally higher amounts are possible. The faster movement of these storms should avoid us from seeing the “excessive” rains some local spots have seen.
