5-6-19 Ohio: Warm and drier beginning of week with higher rain chances on Thursday. MG.

Today’s Video:

Here is a look at observed rainfall over the last week.

After the wet pattern many of us experienced last week, we will finally see a more dry and settled pattern for much of this week.  Precipitation chances are quite minimal throughout most of the state in the Monday – Wednesday time period with higher chances in northern portions.  Temperatures will also be quite warm with Wednesday seeing many areas reach the 80’s.  A system will impact most of Ohio on Thursday bringing widespread rainfall accumulation.  As of now, we do not expect too much in the way of severe weather but stay tuned to future updates in case anything changes.  The models begin to differ after the system exits the Ohio area on Thursday night/ Friday morning, thus we have low forecast confidence in regards to the weekend.

Here is a look at estimated precipitation accumulation though Wednesday morning.  Note that most of Ohio remains on the drier side.

Here is a look at estimated precipitation accumulation through Friday night.  Much of this accumulation is associated with the Thursday system.
