Today’s Video:
Good Friday morning everyone. Overall, no real changes to our synopsis from earlier today. Still think we have a very low chance of a pop-up shower into ~12-1 PM, but the main activity will develop well southeast of here this afternoon and evening. Winds look to be pretty light today, overall. Here’s a look at our latest 3-day outlook:
- From 9AM – 1PM conditions should remain mostly dry with the very isolated shot of a shower popping up still on the table.
- From 1PM – 4PM storm activity should fire to the southeast of the area, so we wouldn’t anticipate issues with lightning.
- From 4PM – 8PM: Winds generally look to be light out of the WNW with plenty of sunshine.
We continue to watch tomorrow afternoon and evening for the development of storm chances across the area. We’ll need to watch 3PM and after for the chance of scattered storm development beginning. The main line of storms looks to move through closer to 7-9PM which would be accompanied with strong wind gusts and perhaps some hail:
These storms will likely contain locally heavy rainfall with isolated amounts of 1.0-1.5″ with widespread amounts of 0.25 – 0.75″. Luckily, as we work into Sunday, we should clear things out and it should be a very nice day overall. We will have winds gusting to 25MPH from the northwest at times on Sunday. Here’s a look at the simulated radar from 9PM Saturday through 2PM Sunday:
