Upper level disturbance over the area will gradually shift south with generally spotty rain coverage. Best chances this afternoon across eastern and southern Indiana. Skies will continue to clear as we head through the evening with any rain risks exiting. Forecast rainfall today shown below. Localized 0.50″ to 1″+ totals from Richmond to Madison Indiana given the slow nature of pop-up activity today.
Saturday morning should start quiet with the risk of patchy fog across southeast Indiana.
Best risk of scattered storms during the day Saturday will be in the northern third of the state. A line of showers and storms will then drop south in the area through the evening, with the heaviest coverage north of I-70. Risk of pockets of hail/damaging wind gusts. Main risks 3pm-11pm. Total rainfall through early Sunday: There will likely be isolated higher totals than what this is showing, but gives a general idea that the most numerous coverage happens for locations north of I-70, and more hit/miss south.
Sunday looks GREAT! We’ll keep nice weather around through Tuesday, then get back to daily storm chances mid to late next week.
