Good Thursday morning everyone! Overall a pretty quiet start to the day with some fog in Central North Dakota and Minnesota. I do think southwest flow allows storms to fire in NW North Dakota. A few severe storms this afternoon/evening cannot be ruled out. Isolated large hail and gusty winds are the main threat.
A low level jet will allow showers/storms to persist into the overnight/morning hours. As the cold front swings storms will once again fire tomorrow. Dry air, strong low-level winds and high instability will allow for a severe storm threat.Strong to severe storm threat into tomorrow…we think the slight risk needs to be pulled slightly further east and think a moderate risk where there’s an enhanced risk now can be upgraded.
