5-3-19 Northern Plains: Cooler pattern dominates….best precipitation risks south over the next week. N.

Today’s Video:

Total precipitation through tonight:

Southern portions of the area will enjoy a warm day Saturday, before cooler air takes over area-wide Sunday and beyond.

Here is a look at estimated precipitation accumulation over the next 7 days.  As the cooler air takes hold for many days, it will shift the best focus for moisture south.  This means the northern half can run drier than normal next week, while areas south see several precipitation chances.  There are also a couple threats for wet snow in mainly the western Dakotas.  Best chance sticking out now is Monday morning.
