We’re already seeing moisture work into to the area in the form of some isolated light rain showers.
This will continue to build throughout the area today with showers into the Western Dakotas and stronger storm risks into the Eastern Dakotas and Minnesota. Here’s a look at the simulated radar throughout the day today:
Again, the strongest storm threat will be throughout the Eastern Dakotas and Minnesota. Not all will be severe, but we could see storms produce strong winds, hail and a very isolated spin-up late this afternoon and into the evening:
Some moisture from Alberto will surge into Eastern Minnesota tomorrow morning, but the main rain risks will likely be scattered storms that continue to develop with the upper-level energy that continues to slowly push through the area tomorrow:
As that system pushes through, Thursday should be a quieter day with some fog risks perhaps in far Northern Minnesota and North Central North Dakota in the morning:
Our next system arrives late Thursday with some southwest flow and scattered thunderstorms in the Western Dakotas. The main rain/storm risks will come Friday into Saturday:
