A few strong storms possible again today, greatest threat across northeast Iowa.
Simulated radar from 10am this morning to 3am Saturday morning shown below. Showers and storms will work east across Missouri this morning in a weakening state, then additional storms fire over southeast half of Missouri throughout the afternoon. Elsewhere, isolated strong storms possible mainly from mid afternoon to mid evening. We will be watching for a greater likelihood of storms to dive into northern and eastern Iowa 6-10pm.
Total rainfall through 7am Saturday….I want to stress not everyone in these areas will see rain, but several pockets of 0.25″ to 0.75″ possible in this area, with local 1-2″ totals.
Saturday should be a drier day for most of the region, with the main focus for scattered storms in central Missouri developing mainly 2-7pm CDT. This forecast radar loop for Saturday goes from 1-7pm CDT.
