5-24-19 Indiana: Warm, humid pattern with more storm risks next several days…details here. N.

Video:

Here is the excessive rainfall outlook over the next couple of days (helps illustrate where the best storm risks are):

Today:

Saturday:

The same boundary that moved south yesterday is in the process of lifting north this morning.  Showers have been very isolated along it so far, but there are more numerous storms in Illinois which can slide into north-central and northwest areas of the state especially as we head through the morning.  This afternoon, additional isolated to widely scattered activity is possible mainly north.  Most areas will be dry this evening after sunset, just very warm and humid overnight.  Storms will clip far northwest counties (mainly after midnight) which can produce local heavy rains in far NW Indiana as we head into Saturday morning.  This energy will drop south through the day Saturday.  While the storms along it may fade in the morning, they will regenerate as we head into the afternoon, and continue to drop southward into the evening.

As discussed in the video, there will be potential for a round of storms Saturday night (after midnight) to work into northwest and north-central portions of the state.  Sunday, much of the day brings scattered storms and showers, numerous enough to cause issues for the Indy 500 Sunday.  It will be difficult to get sustained dry time longer than 45 minutes late morning into late afternoon.  Activity looks to clear Sunday evening and night, before another batch of scattered storms arrives Memorial Day, especially in the afternoon.  Total rainfall potential through Monday:
