We catch a break during the “day” today with some sunshine and much warmer air. Additional storms will spread in from Missouri tonight, and bring scattered storms to many areas overnight into Thursday morning.  During the day tomorrow, the northern half of the state clears out with nice weather, while the south-central areas will see an additional risk for storms, locally severe, with heavy rain a threat.  Friday morning, additional storm risks target the north and northwest.  Here is the total rainfall from tonight through Friday noon:
