5-21-19 Ohio: Discussing the tricky rainfall forecast ahead into mid-week. K.

As mentioned multiple times in the video, the forecast even in the short-term will need to be fine-tuned as data is not initializing well with the wave working east across IL this morning at all, so make sure to check out today’s short-term video. Here’s the total precipitation we prefer over the next 2 days below, for most of us generally staying below 0.2-0.3:

We are watching closely for the potential of an MCS (storm cluster) to work east across IL and IN Thursday morning into Ohio Thursday afternoon…another scenario we will need to fine-tune but this was on our radar yesterday with a piece of energy moving over the top of the ridge to the south that could drop in some heavier rainfall potential:
