Rain chances today will stay put in central and southwest South Dakota.  Rains will gradually lift northward into mid-week, with showers working into southwest Minnesota and southern North Dakota later Tuesday, then the rains really expand northward Tuesday night, and continue over the area Wednesday.  Here’s the total rain expected over the next 72 hours:

Wind forecast guidance over the next 4 days: Note the wind tomorrow in our southern counties, with gusts exceeding 40mph in spots.  We remain breezy Wednesday.  

The Black Hills region of South Dakota will see significant snow potential as well through Wednesday:
