Strong storm risks below cover the risks for tonight into Tuesday…with all models of severe risks on the table here:

Total precipitation guidance that we prefer is below…north of Joplin approaching Columbia and northwest of the I-70 corridor especially we favor widespread 2.0-4.0″ to fall, with localized 4.0″+ on the table as well given the very amped jet stream to move through. I think the model below is a little under across SW Missouri…but the areas more favorable to stay drier will be down in the Bootheel more away from the main moisture flow:
