Increasing rains from southwest to northeast today and tonight. Severe storm threat for central and southern South Dakota as we head mainly from 6pm-11pm. Watch the video for timing and details on our rain chances throughout the weekend. Tomorrow, cold enough air will be present in the far west to mix in some wet snow, then watching Sunday for wet snow risks around Duluth in northeast Minnesota. Areas along the International border will remain dry this weekend.

Monday morning – we need to be aware of patchy frost as skies clear and winds relax. Rain showers can return to South Dakota Monday, then we’ll see widespread rains target the region Tuesday into Wednesday. This system will bring strong, gusty winds as well. The far western Dakotas will likely mix in another snow threat.
