Forecast Radar shows the supercells developing in Nebraska this evening.  “Highest” severe threat from 5-9pm CT.  Storms can initiate after 3pm.

Another wave of low pressure will bring storms across especially east-central Kansas into southeast Nebraska Saturday afternoon and evening.  Showers will diminish after midnight Saturday night, then we squeeze in dry weather Sunday.  Total rain through the weekend:

We need to keep a close eye on Monday-Tuesday as a potent storm bring strong wind gusts, heavy rain, and severe storms.  The severe threat looks highest for Kansas south to Texas, so a classic tornado alley storm threat Monday evening and night.  Storm lifts out late Tuesday night, then additional rain chances return Thursday.  Here is the 7-day rainfall forecast.  Eastern Kansas is the heaviest threat, where 5″+ will fall for some.
