Latest thoughts on severe storm risk area for later today through the overnight:
An isolated severe storm is possible this afternoon working into the area, especially northwest. Any storm that can develop can produce large hail, wind, and a tornado. The idea is that storms will develop more so as we go into the early to mid evening across northern and northwest Indiana, containing a hail and isolated tornado/wind threat. These storms should congeal into more of a cluster and dive south into the area overnight.
Total precipitation through tonight. Expecting areas across southwest Indiana and western Kentucky to remain dry. Areas around the Indy metro and north/east will have potential of 0.50″ to 1.5″, local 2″+ amounts in northern Indiana.
