Watch the video for more details, but watching for increasing severe storm risks after mid-afternoon through the evening working from central North Dakota to northwest Minnesota.  A few strong storms can work into northeast South Dakota as well.

Today’s severe weather outlook:  Main risk for strong, damaging wind gusts and large hail.  

Rain and storms become more widespread Friday in the Dakotas, then expanding across the area Saturday.  Southern South Dakota and southwest Minnesota will have the risk of strong to severe storms Friday evening and night.  Another system will target Minnesota Sunday with heavy rain, while the Dakotas should trend drier (briefly) on Sunday.  Total rainfall through Monday AM:
