Today’s Video:
Good Wednesday morning everyone! Overall, today looks like a gorgeous day for this evening’s game with a high near 70F and partly cloudy skies. We really don’t anticipate rain chances until we work into the overnight hours on Thursday and into Friday morning. A storm cluster could dive from the northwest and impact areas along and north of Cincinnati in the pre-dawn hours Friday. This could be associated with some strong wind gusts and heavy rain. Here’s the area most favorable for these risks:
Here’s a look at the simulated radar:
Precipitation potential on Thursday night. Note, if you get under one of the heavier storms locally 1″ of rain cannot be ruled out:
Following the passage of this wave, we likely see more sunshine with activity staying north for Friday’s game. We remain under a ridge of high pressure on Saturday leading to warm conditions and sunny skies, though we cannot rule out an isolated pop up downpour/storm given heat and instability. Eventually the system out to the west progresses eastward, but given an early game on Sunday, we think that most of the rain chances remain west until the evening hours and you likely are able to get your game in. We will however keep a close eye on timing for any potential scattered activity in the late afternoon.
Here’s a look at total precipitation through Sunday:
