Good Tuesday morning everyone! Our active pattern has moved out of the area – at least for today – and clear skies will dominate most of the area. However, dry air and gusty winds will lead to an increased fire danger in Northern North Dakota and Northern Minnesota today. Here’s a look at the red flag warnings that are in effect: 

Temperatures will be quite warm the next several days with highs in the upper 70s and 80s for the area: 

The bigger story will be storms that develop later this week. Scattered pop up storms are possible – especially beginning tomorrow afternoon – in South Central South Dakota. Some of these storms that develop could produce hail. Though, the bigger hail threat will be late Thursday as more widespread storms – possibly strong to severe – develop. Here’s a look at the area to watch for the biggest threat:
