5-14-19 Iowa Cubs: Timing end to rain/storm chances this morning. Multiple rain chances to end the week. B.

Today’s Video:

Good Tuesday morning everyone. We have rain and storms on the radar this morning with a tad bit more instability that forecasted leading to some lightning in some of the storms to your northwest. These will persist and push into your area over the next hour leading to pockets of 0.5″+ of rain. Current Radar:

Here’s a look at the simulated radar for today. Note, we likely get this activity out (~11-12) before the game today and remain dry throughout the daytime hours.

We are still watching the chance of an isolated storm mainly west after sunset this evening and overnight, so you may want to keep the tarp on the field just in case.

We should be ok tomorrow with only an isolated shot of a storm Thursday morning before warmer temperatures and dry conditions are likely for the game Thursday evening. However, as we work into Thursday night, conditions become more favorable for storm development.

As a low pressure system progresses eastward, rain and storm chances will pick up Saturday and Sunday and we will likely have to be watching radar carefully for both Saturday and Sunday’s games:
