5-13-19 Round Rock Express: Generally mild, quiet through the week. Storm chances increase Saturday. B.

Today’s Video:

Good Monday morning everyone! Overall, we’re looking to see a drier week with temperatures averaging below normal. We will build some instability so some pop-up scattered storms cannot be ruled out Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon/evening, but generally we anticipate the forecast to remain dry until Saturday when a front will lead to better rain/storm chances.

Here’s a look at the scattered nature of the storms tomorrow and Wednesday:

As mentioned above, a front moves through Saturday and will lend to an increased risk of storms. The SPC has outlined an area northwest of Round Rock for severe potential so we’ll need to carefully watch the progression of this front for potential storm/severe storm risks. Note, this line should work out overnight Saturday and be out of the area Sunday, but given your evening start time Saturday there certainly are storm impacts on table for your game.
