Today’s Video:
Good Monday morning everyone! We should be good to go for today’s game – but we are very chilly to start off the morning in the 30s for Central Iowa. We should warm into the mid-60s this afternoon and mid-upper 50s for the start of your game. Into tomorrow, we will see warmer weather, but we will see a few rain/storm chances across the area. This looks to come in the morning and into the early afternoon hours with some light rain possible to start your game tomorrow. Another wave of storms is possible as we work into the late evening hours tomorrow.
We dry out Wednesday with some slight rain chances early Thursday with the warm front. As we work into late Thursday we have to watch the strength of the upper-level high pressure very carefully. Leaning towards the game staying dry for Thursday, but a cluster of storms could develop into the overnight hours Thursday and into Friday morning. We will have to watch this northwest flow of energy very carefully as they can be tricky and produce storms very easily. Again, the main setup Thursday and Friday looks to be north, but storms overnight Thursday and scattered storms Friday cannot be ruled out with better chances on Saturday.
