Watch the video for the latest on timing of storms and rainfall totals through Thursday night:

UPDATED severe storm threat today: Moderate risk now in place for central Kansas.  Very large hail stones, wind, and isolated strong tornadoes possible.  Storms look to initiate 3 to 4pm CDT, and will grow rapidly across central Kansas this evening.

Storm Prediction Center tornado/wind/hail probabilities:

Forecast radar from 1pm today to 10am Wednesday:

Total rainfall over the next 24 hours: It still appears an area from northeast Kansas, southeast Nebraska, as well as portions of Iowa and northern Missouri can pick up heavy rains tonight.  Perhaps two main areas of heavier rain in northeast Iowa as well as another area from southern Iowa and northern Missouri.

Here is the latest rainfall forecast through Thursday night.  Much of Iowa still looks like a slam dunk for locally heavy rains, along with northern Missouri with more of a widespread soaking.  Rain amounts in central/east Kansas, Nebraska, and the rest of Missouri will be on a hit/miss basis with locally heavy totals where storms form.  Rain will not be evenly distributed in these areas.
