4-9-19 ND/SD Forecast: Intense system with blizzard conditions expected to impact particularly SD Wednesday through Thursday night. I.

Today’s Video:

Here’s an updated look at the snowfall outlook for the major blizzard expected to impact the state of SD: Some additional fine-tuning will be needed just due to the extra fine gradient setting up in far northern SD where snowfall amounts will range anywhere from 18″+ to only a few inches in less than a 50 mile stretch north to south. Projections continue to point towards a massive dose of snow for many in SD (18″+ and locally up to 30″). At times the snow can fall at 1-3″/hr! Blizzard conditions are expected in SD with wind gusts of 30-50mph+. Please take this storm seriously and take all the necessary precautions as a crippling blizzard is anticipated for SD. Liquid equivalent amounts of 1-3″+ are likely in southern/eastern SD, which is not good news for those impacted by flooding as this will exacerbate any existing problems.
