Here’s an updated look at the snowfall outlook for the major blizzard expected to impact the state of MN: Some additional fine-tuning will be needed just due to the snow gradient setting up in northern MN as well as into southeastern MN. Projections continue to point towards a massive dose of snow for many in southwestern/centra MN (12-18″+). At times the snow can fall at 1-3″/hr! Blizzard conditions are expected in southwestern/central MN with wind gusts of 30-50mph+. Please take this storm seriously and take all the necessary precautions as a crippling blizzard is anticipated. Liquid equivalent amounts of 1-3″+ are likely in the southern two-thirds of MN through Friday, which is definitely not good news for those impacted by the recent flooding. Beware that this system will exacerbate ongoing issues.
