Total precipitation through Friday: In general, mainly dry conditions are expected for the southern two-thirds of the state through Wednesday night with scattered rain showers likely in the northern third of the state from late this evening through the overnight into Wednesday. We introduce a better chance for gusty showers and storms later in the day Thursday and exiting overnight. Rainfall amounts of 0.5-1.5″ will be common in northern and far eastern IL.
