4-8-19 ND/SD Forecast: Very spotty showers through Tuesday…eyeing significant winter storm into SD mid-late work week. I.

Today’s Video:

Here’s a first glance at potential snowfall with the major storm system mid-late work week: Definitely going to need to fine-tune over the next couple of days, but current projections suggest 12-24″ of wet snow in southern SD with amounts lessening quickly north. Many in ND won’t receive snow. Wind gusts of 30-50mph will be common which will lead to blizzard conditions (SD). Liquid amounts of 1-3″+ are likely in south-central/southeastern SD, which is definitely not good news for those impacted by recent flooding. This system will likely exacerbate these problems.
