Here’s a first glance at potential snowfall with the major storm system mid-late work week: Definitely going to need to fine-tune over the next couple of days, but current projections suggest 12-24″ of wet snow for portions of southern MN with amounts quickly lessening as you progress north (some guidance suggests little to no snow in the northern half of the state). Wind gusts of 30-50mph will be common which will lead to blizzard conditions. Liquid amounts of 1-3″+ are likely in the southern third of MN over the next week, which is definitely not good news for those impacted by recent flooding. This system will likely exacerbate these problems.
