Total precipitation through Friday night reveals heavy liquid amounts of 1-3″+ for the northern half of the state while less forcing further south will lead to a general 0.25-0.75″  (south of a line extending from Omaha to Des Moines to Davenport). Watch for heavier snows to impact the far northern tip of IA at times from Wednesday through Friday, though will changeover to rain at time.
